The company had a schedule based on consumption patterns to replace CNG bottles, which generally worked well. However, in cases of unexpected events or increased gas demand, they sometimes found themselves returning half-full bottles or, worse, facing production halts due to empty bottles.
This required a more efficient and reliable solution to ensure uninterrupted CNG supply and effective bottle management, especially in locations where recharging device batteries was not feasible.
SOLUTION
The solution involved a hardware setup consisting of a box that includes a GSM modem, GPS tracker, temperature and pressure sensors, a battery, and a solar panel for recharging, all mounted on the trailer.
Celtis developed the following components:
Hardware Controller Firmware: Manages the sensors and GSM modem, transmitting data about the CNG levels and location.
Mobile Application: Displays real-time data and helps plan CNG deliveries based on the monitored levels.
Server Infrastructure: Receives and processes all telemetry data from the trailers.
An innovative feature is the device’s adaptive data transmission. When the battery is fully charged, it sends updates every 5 minutes. However, if the battery is running low, the transmission frequency decreases to conserve power. This ensures continuous monitoring even during periods of poor weather, when the solar panel may not fully recharge the battery.
By tracking temperature and pressure, the system precisely measures the total amount of CNG remaining in the entire trailer. This comprehensive solution ensures efficient CNG management and timely deliveries, preventing both shortages and the return of half-full bottles.

This history allowed for day-by-day and even hourly analysis for each company, enabling better prediction and management of CNG to order and fill up, leading to more efficient and effective resource management.
