The client aimed to create an easy-to-use app to improve the shopping experience and cut grocery costs for their users.

They needed to digitize promotion offers from many retail chains, making them accessible and manageable in one place. The app also needed a flexible shopping list feature where users could add promotions or other items as free text. Additionally, the app had to optimize the shopping experience by suggesting the best discounts based on the user’s location and preferences.

The challenge was to integrate these features seamlessly while keeping the app simple and efficient to meet the client’s goals and enhance user satisfaction.

SOLUTION

Celtis developed an app to streamline the grocery shopping experience. The app uses advanced scraper robots to automatically collect and categorize daily promotions from retail websites, including dates, images, and descriptions. AI processes this data, scaling images and adjusting descriptions to fit the app’s promotional templates. In rare cases where non-standard promotions arise, administrators receive notifications for manual setup.

In the mobile app, users can view promotions near their location and add them to an integrated shopping list, which also allows for free text entries. The shopping list displays their total savings, making it easy to manage grocery budgets.
